Hi everyone!
Here are prayer points for September.
Thank you for your partnership.
Louise, Gerald, Jeremiah, Daniel and JamesPraiseThank God for a successful trip to Marsabit during August. It was much more manageable than the last time we visited. They had also invited a group of 30 Sunday school teachers for the first time – so Louise had sessions specifically with them. So there were around 110 in total and the bible studies and expositions were through Romans. Several young people were saved or recommitted their lives to Christ. Please pray that they would all continue to put God first in every area of their lives. The senior leaders did a great job as they were given responsibility in organising and leading – they lifted a significant amount of the burden from Jomo’s shoulders.
– The group from Makueni returned to the training centre from 19th August – 31st August. 14 out of 17 were available to come back. This time they are studying 1 Peter, 1 John and some of Revelation. Please pray for them as they go back again to their contexts and for the friendships they have made to be fruitful and beneficial to their walk with God.Prayer
– Please pray for the senior leaders from Marsabit who will be coming for more training in the second half of September. Gerald and Jomo (Jomo works in Marsabit full time) are in discussions about the best way forward to continue discipling young people across the diocese of Marsabit. It is a larger area that Scotland. So being strategic and also ensuring people are thoroughly mentored, taught and prepared before they go on to disciple others. They are also investigating attaching the senior leaders to churches (with a small stipend) so they have a real opportunity to lead the young people in their areas. This group of senior leaders are reaching 1 year of participation so they also need to decide how to continue with them; and how and when to begin a new cohort. Please pray God would give Gerald and Jomo wisdom, and that the participants would be faithful and committed to all they are given responsibility for.
