Crosslinks Mission Partners
Crosslinks enables everyone to take part in God’s mission. They send people out to help make Christ known and support Christians back home as they play their part. In 2022, they celebrated 100 years of “Taking God’s word to God’s world!
In five continents and over 30 countries, Crosslinks has long-term mission partners, short-term volunteers and gospel-based projects. All Crosslinks people and projects are involved in frontline evangelism or training pastor teachers. In the world today, billions of people are living without Christ as their saviour. God has chosen to use his followers to help do something about this. Crosslinks wants to make it possible for every Christian to get involved with this mission.
Gerald and Louise are passionate about young people knowing Jesus and living lives committed to him. They provided a short video message for us played at our Harvest Thanksgiving service.
Gerald and Louise have three boys: Jeremiah, Daniel and James. You can find regular updates about their work on the Crosslinks website: https://www.crosslinks.org/people-and-places/africa/gerald-and-louise-mwangi/
On the website you can also read their most current prayer letter and find out how to donate to their work.
Operation Rescue Ethiopia (ORE)
Vulnerable children visit the centres daily and a dedicated team provide for their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. These children attend school on a “double shift basis” and then they visit ORE either in the morning or the afternoon.
Each day includes:
- \A group devotion that often includes input from visiting teams
- \A substantial meal provided
- \Fun activities on the sports field
- \Tutorial Classes focused on improving school grades
- \Showers are available to all children
- \The homes of these children are visited by ORE social workers and records are well maintained which help monitor the health and home environment of the family unit. ORE provides school unforms and school materials. The centres are wonderful, happy places and a safe environment for the children.
Come with us on a visit!
Ethiopia is an amazing country to visit. The team at ORE are incredibly welcoming and really value the support from Northern Ireland. We regularly visit the work of ORE and spend time helping with devotions, supporting the kitchen staff, and organising fun sporting activities. Visits are generally a life changing encounter and if you have an interest, please ask us for some more details.

The Leprosy Mission
Our church has supported the work of The Leprosy Mission for many years.
Mission: To educate, challenge and involve the people of Northern Ireland in the Christ-like and unique mission of The Leprosy Mission worldwide, and to contribute to its overall operations and development.
What We Do: The Leprosy Mission provide a comprehensive range of services to meet the needs of people, families and communities affected by leprosy. As well as integrating leprosy and general medical services, where there is need, The Leprosy Mission hospitals and health centres continue to provide excellence in all aspects of specialized leprosy care, often being referral centres for complications of leprosy. However, people affected by leprosy need more than medicine. The Leprosy Mission programmes deliver compassion and action. While we do identify and assist people to a cure and treat physical impairments through reconstructive surgery, we also invest in education, vocational training, counselling and community based socio-economic rehabilitation activities.

Where We Work: We are a global fellowship, active in 31 countries throughout the world. The Leprosy Mission Northern Ireland currently funds projects in six countries in Africa and Asia.

Storehouse
Every Sunday , we would ask those who would like to donate food for the Storehouse in Dunmurry to bring it to church and leave it in the large plastic crate at the back of the church. A Storehouse volunteer collects it and brings it to the Storehouse where it is distributed.
Storehouse partners with many different charities and agencies throughout Belfast, who work day in and day out with families and individuals in difficult situations.
Through these partnerships Storehouse forms connections with those most genuinely in need. Often, through no fault of their own, or through poor choices, they’ve found themselves caught in cycles of poverty that seem impossible to break. Storehouse aims to help break those cycles by providing emergency food packages for a set period of time.
Each package provides everything that the family or individual will need for 3 days. We currently provide anything from one off requests to continued support over 4-5 weeks.
By partnering with established and skilled charities and organisations, Storehouse is able to go beyond short term aid, providing opportunities for long term solutions which see lives dramatically changed. We work hard with our partners to help people move away from the need of support, to prevent dependency and encourage sustainable, healthy lifestyles. Old furniture such as beds, sofas, armchairs and mattresses is also welcome.
Any donation, no matter how small will be very much appreciated.
