Bible Study Groups

In Ballinderry we believe that God’s Word is first and foremost, and for that reason we try to give people a variety of opportunities to think about what God is saying to them through his word. Our three sessions provides an opportunity for men and women of all ages to meet together in friendly and welcoming settings, to study the Bible and discuss its relevance to our everyday lives. The Bible is God’s word to us, so by studying it we can get to know God better and can come to a fuller understanding of his plan for each of us.

There are three different groups that meet week to week:

    1. Ladies Bible Study – On Tuesday mornings in the church hall.
    2. Parish Bible Study – On Wednesday evenings, we meet as a Parish at 8pm via Zoom.
    3. Home group – On Thursday evenings, meeting face to face or sometimes on Zoom.

Why not join online or come to a meeting and find out for yourself? You will be made very welcome, we would love to see you.

Prayer Meeting

Every Sunday evening at 7.00pm

Everything we do as a congregation needs to be steeped in prayer, as we seek God’s will and God’s blessing on our contribution to his work.

We hold an online prayer meeting every Sunday evening from 7pm. This started during “lockdown” and has been a time of great blessing.  If you would like to join this meeting, please contact us and we will email you the link.

Craft Club is aimed at anyone who enjoys making things – knitting and crochet are favourites, but we love chatting most of all!

We meet on every 2nd Tuesday evening of the month in the church hall between 7:30 and 9:30pm.

You are welcome to drop in anytime in the evening and bring along any portable craft you are working on.

If you are a complete beginner come along and see if there is a craft you could try!

Please note – there is a small charge of £1.00 per month. This is so that we can contribute to the upkeep of the hall – and buy tea and biscuits!

Bowling Club

Each Monday at 7.30pm in the Church Hall

The club was established in the early 1980s by Arthur Ussher, Bertie Costello, Billy Livingstone and Canon Sam McComb who bought second hand mats from a club in Cookstown.

We meet each Monday at 7.30pm to practice and enjoy some fun and fellowship as well as a cup of tea and a biscuit.

We currently play in the second division of the Roy Kennedy sponsored Lisburn league and throughout the year we play a number of internal competitions. This is our first season in the league and we are very pleased and satisfied to have finished in 4th place.
