If you’ve been walking or driving past the church hall recently, you’ll probably have seen a bit of to-ing and fro-ing. Well, this is why! The floor of the main hall has been in need of repairs for quite a while – it never really recovered from flood damage several years ago. Recently, bits started breaking off the boards, and somebody also put their heel through a section of board at the craft fair last year. This could not have happened if the floor had been sound. After extensive investigations and discussion, the Select Vestry decided that it was time to deal with the problem, and this is the result – a brand new floor which should withstand the wear and tear it is subjected to.
